Montague Township has many a wet basement and is located in Sussex County, N.J. The Township covers 45.3 square miles and is home to over 3,840 residents (U.S. Census 2010)
The Township was one of the original 104 Townships incorporated by an Act of the N.J. State Legislature in 1798. Prior to then the land was under a Royal Charter of King George II.

In the 1980’s Montague Township received its own post office. Prior to then, all mail for the Township was delivered to Port Jervis, New York. This led to many have New Jersey drivers licenses and New York addresses.
